Ely Architects Ltd were commissioned to design a single storey extension to a rural property close to Morpeth in Northumberland. The brief evolved to prioritise the extensive views to the south of the property, towards open fields and farmland, whilst maintaining a sense of privacy and enclosure to the rear garden.
The contemporary design was developed to provide a contrast to the existing style of the property and to provide maximum daylight and a link to the external spaces at the rear of the property. Planning approval was obtained in February 2020.
