In 2018, the practice was appointed to obtain the necessary permits for the fit-out of a restaurant project in the Metrocentre, Gateshead. This project included liaison with the facilities management team to ensure that the security of the site and general public were maintained during the project. The restaurant opened as per the agreed timescales in November 2018.
The conversion of the former Joplings department store included four levels of student accommodation and the provision of retail units at street level. Situated in the centre of Sunderland, this project will help to act as a catalyst for the regeneration of the streetscape around the once-abandoned department store.
